I know, I know, I shouldn’t be going to the dark side, but don’t worry its temporary. Whimzy and I have been working bits and pieces of rally the past couple weeks and I hoping to get her into rally this winter and maybe some obedience… not sure. Mainly I just want Whimzy to have some ring practice, and I feel bad that I haven’t been training her much. She really knows everything that I could possibly teach her at this point. So we have been doing obedience to fill the gap between puppy training and baby dog agility.
So far I have gotten a pretty good, I guess, start position? We call it “get close” but I don’t really know if it has a specific name. And we have started a little bit of heeling, against the wall. Oh and get this in obedience you actually have to stop a certain way!! I knew about the whole start on the left foot, but really I have to stop with a break, plant, finish pattern? I have a hard enough time remembering the dog should always be on my left, let alone foot patterns. Well at least Whimzy looks adorable heeling!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0pcPcU4Qls
