Half-assed [haf-ast]
adjective: refers to having a desired
goal while consciously choosing not to put in the necessary effort to actually
achieve it.
The difference between try and triumph is a little umph.
It’s one thing to say
you have dreams; it’s another to say you are trying to achieve your dreams. Yet
it is an entirely different thing to actually achieve them. The fragile line
between these three stages is broken with effort. It isn’t enough to half-ass
your way to your goals, if anything you need to get your ass in gear. No if, ands, or butts about it. If you want to
achieve your goals you won’t just try. You won't crack under pressure. You won't assume you can do it. You'll put effort behind everything you do...and you’ll excel.
