Standing Still.

There are often things in life that don't go as planned, but when things go wrong we are left with a choice:
 Stand still or move forward?

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

Forward motion is an essential skill for survival in life and in agility. If you were to fault on course you wouldn't just stand there and not move... if you did, you would get whistled off by the judge, and probably get very strange looks from your fellow competitors and dog. In agility we fault and move on. We take on the next obstacle, the next course, the next day of showing fresh and ready to go. We find things to be proud of, we look at the little improvements and appreciate their importance. The only goal that truly matters is that we are wiser than we once were. So then it isn't acceptable to stand still in life and dwell on past mistakes. That NQ four days ago doesn't matter today, so why do we hold onto the bad things in life for so long? If we were to treat each day like a day at a dog show the world would be a very different place.

Did you Q today?

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
