People always say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
I think happiness is too. There is no outline for happiness, its definition is rather suggestive really and open for interpretation. The state of being happy isn't determined by what others think, rather the moment when you can look around and say you are proud to be where you are. You can accept all the bad, all the hurt, all the rough times because they got you to where you are today.
Happiness is beyond contentment. Contentment is satisfactory, its easy, its complacent. It means you are unaware of the possibilities in life; purgatory of those living, but who are not alive. Happiness is taking life into your own hands; forcing yourself sometimes, to just deal with what comes your way and taking as much from every moment as you can. Because in the end happiness isn't a feeling, it's a choice. The choice to keep moving, the choice to see all the good over the bad, the choice to make something of everyday and every moment no matter what anyone else thinks of it.
