Sometimes while training...

Sometimes training doesn’t go the way you planned. But if everything always worked out perfect then what in the world are you training? Isn’t practice about trying things you can’t do, challenging yourself. Trying something one way, then another way, then the really wrong way, and then finding a way that is right for you. That’s what makes training fun, not knowing what to expect. Discovering something you can’t do, finding out that you need something else. Then there is that moment when you totally nail one, that is just like “Hell yes, we did it!” How wonderful can that moment stay if every time you ran a sequence or course you did it right because it was easy for you? Would that even be any fun? Training something you KNOW for a fact you can do? It’s one thing to brush up on a skill, or sharpen your understanding of how to perform a handling move, but if you aren’t training then new and the different then I question how you are having fun. Honestly all my training sessions, okay well not all of them, but sometimes just sometimes they look like this: http://youtu.be/FFbtaoPFyik
