We totally failed at double Q’n today. Such a bumber :P Demon got his MACH 6 though! Jenna and I had an awesome jumpers run but then in standard she jumped the zone on the dog walk.... -_-“ <mad mommy face…. Although I have to say it was a kind of a group effort. As much as Jenna really should remember to like hit the zone and maybe even stop like we train! I was behind and late for the front so when I got there she jumped off. Even though failing was annoying and aggravating, I did complete the goal I set yesterday of keeping a calm mind. I was a little nervous going into Jumpers, but I got over it once we got onto the start line, and even though we NQ’d in standard it wasn’t because I was shaking or super nervous or anything like that. It was mainly because of a known foundation problem and me being a wee bit late because of what we found.
Before the found, we must stop at fixed. After our standard run we got to do fast for some contact maintenance. Not only did we get another really nice teeter but we got a good correction on the a-frame too. Once again we epically failed the fast send but that’s pretty common for us! Also I think getting to do fast release some frustration over our messy standard run, which was nice to get over with so tomorrow can be a clean slate.
Finally what we found, which has to be one of the best things to find like ever, is more speed. Jenna hit 5.8 on what I consider a conservative run. Also she beat me over the dog walk, which isn’t exactly easy to do. For a while this summer she had really slowed down because of a small case of anaplasmosis and just generally not feeling well I think. I’m really just glad that she is happier and feels good; the faster runs are just a bonus! I actually think that would have been our fastest standard run to date, if I hadn’t held her on the teeter for one second and actually like handled the end, I was kind of still thinking about the zone to much to actually function through the rest of the course!
So hoping to finish that MACH tomorrow, and maybe get Chessie a DQ and Oz his NAP :D
